9/4: Welcome back Meeting

We had a great time welcoming new and current members back to WIB at our welcome meeting! Our members got to know eachother through ice-breaker games, and the executive team shared the exciting plans WIB has in store this semester.

9/18: WiB x Women in Sports

WIB had the privelage of co-hosting a Women in Sports Panel alongside the Women in Sports Club. This engaging event provided our members with valuable insights into various career paths within the sports industry. Our panelists shared their experiences and offered thoughtful advice, inspiring the next generation of leaders in the sports industry! A huge thank you to the ladies that joined us from the CU Athletics Department for this event!

9/20: September member meet-up

Women in Business hosts Member Meet-ups every month to facilitate relationships between members. This month, members were encouraged to get outside with WiB at a local hiking trail.

9/29:September Volunteer event

Women in Business volunteers once a month! By giving back to the community, our club fosters growth and connection. This month, WIB members had the opportunity to volunteer at Boulderthon, a local marathon.

10/2: BIg 4 Panel

We had an insightful discussion with professionals from the Big 4 accounting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG). Our members gained valuable perspectives on career paths in audit, tax, and consulting, as well as the evolving role of these firms in the global market.

 

Our amazing panelists shared their experiences, offered tips for success, and answered questions about internships, full-time roles, and the day-to-day life of working at a Big 4 firm.

10/9: COffee and donuts

At our October Member Meet-up, our members enjoyed donuts and coffee while studying and getting to know fellow WIB members!

10/10: Meet the Dean

The Dean of Leeds School of Business joined us for cookies and conversation. This was a great opportunity to get to know Dean Khatri in a more personal setting. Our members were able to share their goals and ask any questions they had about the school and their futures in business. Thank you Dean Khatri for joining us!

10/16: ADULTING 101 Panel

During "Adulting 101", Women In Business had the opportunity to ask young professionals about the transition into post-grad life. Within this welcoming space, any question was encouraged! With panelists from diverse industries, the knowledge and experiences shared was broad and valuable. 

10/27: OCTOBER volunteering

Women in Business volunteers once a month! By giving back to the community, our club fosters growth and connection. This month, WIB members had the opportunity to volunteer with CU Basic Needs Center to pack up personal care packages. 

10/30: meeting

Our members got together for pizza, Halloween candy, and coloring sheets! During this study break, members got the chance to relax and spend time with their peers.

11/13: Speaker meeting

During this zoom meeting we had the pleasure to hear Linda Kaplan Thaler's view on business, leadership, and success. Linda is the CEO and President of Kaplan Thaler Productions, she is also responsible for some of America’s most famous advertising campaigns. She has coined famous ideas such as the Aflac duck, “I’m a Toys ‘R’ Us Kkd”, “Kodak Moments”, and the Clairol Herbal Essences “Yes, Yes, Yes” campaign.

11/20: Resume workshop

The Career Development Office joined WIB to share tips and tricks on perfecting our resumes. Career Coach, Elizabeth Ferguson, gave personalized feedback on our members resumes while teaching us all how to be the "obvious candidate".
